LICENSING

The deal, in plain English, before you send us anything.

GOLDFILMS CINEMA is a curated cinema showcase. Most of what you can browse here is catalogue information — we tell you what a film is and which service already carries it, and you watch it there on your own subscription. The films we license directly are different: those are ours to show, and this page is how that works.

The terms

Non-exclusive

You license us the right to stream your film in the agreed territories. You keep the right to license it to anyone else, anywhere, at the same time — festivals, other platforms, your own website, a distributor later. We never ask for exclusivity and we never ask for a holdback.

You keep your copyright

Full stop. We acquire a licence to exhibit, not ownership. Your name, your cinematographer’s name and your full credits travel with the film everywhere it appears on this site.

Term

Two years by default, renewable by mutual agreement. You can withdraw the film on 60 days’ written notice at any time, for any reason, without penalty.

Revenue share

You receive a share of the revenue your film generates — advertising, subscription allocation, or transactional, depending on how it is carried. Subscription revenue is allocated by watch time: your film’s share of total minutes watched is your share of the pool for that period. The specific percentage is stated in your agreement before you sign it, not buried in a schedule.

Reporting

Quarterly, with the underlying numbers — views, minutes watched, revenue allocated — not just a total. Payment follows within 45 days of each statement.

What we never do

What we need from you

  1. Chain of title. Proof you control what you are licensing: signed releases from cast and crew, and cleared music.
  2. Music clearance in writing. This is where independent submissions fail most often. A track you found online is not cleared.
  3. A master. ProRes 422 HQ or higher, or a high-bitrate H.264, with stereo and (if you have it) 5.1 audio.
  4. Captions. SRT or VTT. If you do not have them, say so — we would rather do them than skip them.
  5. Artwork and credits. A poster if one exists, plus a correctly-spelled credit block. We will typeset it.

How this fits the rest of the site

It is worth being straight about the distinction, because it is the whole reason this page exists.

Catalogue titles — the studio films and series you can browse here — are not licensed to us and are not streamed by us. We show you the information, and the “where to watch” block sends you to whichever service actually holds the rights. Availability data is provided by JustWatch; some of those outbound links earn us a commission.

Licensed titles — films submitted through this page and accepted — are ours to exhibit under the terms above. They are the only films GOLDFILMS CINEMA can put behind its own subscription, which is why building that library is the priority and why submissions are always open.

Questions before you submit

Email goldfilmscinema@gmail.com or use the contact page. If you are ready, the submission form takes about five minutes.

This page is a plain-English summary of our standard terms and is not itself a contract or legal advice. The signed licence agreement governs.
