Born and raised on the island of Dominica, Abner Jacques moved to Los Angeles at thirteen. Before film, he made his name as a sponsored skateboarder and entrepreneur — until he borrowed a friend's camera to film a trick and never gave it back.
That obsession took over. He dropped every other hobby and went all in on film and production.
Jacques crafts a heightened reality in his work, elevating narratives through masterful cinematography characterized by expressive lighting, deliberate composition, and deep, rich tones. He aims to create frames that go beyond visual appeal — frames that resonate in the hearts and minds of the audience.
